Toddler Christmas Gift Ideas-2020 Edition

Hello Mammas!

It's been a long time but I figured what better way to connect then at the beginning of the christmas season. I have my yeti mug full of hot chocolate and marshmallows and I am ready to chat. I'm certain we can all agree that 2020 has been a TOUGH one, especially for our cranio warrior Gianni, but despite a pandemic, a neurosurgery and a million doctors appointments 2020 is nearing its end.

Gianni is now 17 months old and is BUSY AS CAN BE. He is obsessed with trucks, coloring, books and his basketballs( yes, I do mean both kinds if you are a boy mom you will UNDERSTAND). We are working closely with him on his speech and auditory processes. He has been through so much and we are so proud of him each and every day. While we wait for speech therapy to begin, I've been researching auditory processing issues and have attempted to incorporate his Christmas list with educational (and fun) things we can do together to encourage his advancement .

His big gift is The Nugget Couch! I was thrilled to get my hands on one of these ( and in a color that is safe for my messy dude). I had been trying to get one since his birthday in July, but finally was able to order on last month! We let him have it early because WHY NOT? It has been an incredible pretend play tool. He climbs under it, over it, slides down it and even snuggles on it! I know the price is shocking but I have been overjoyed to have this item in my home. The size is rather large (you get what you pay for by far) and it does fold up to a neat and tidy size when not in play.

We also finally caved and purchased the Lovevery Play Kits. Again, the price on this one deterred me for over a year, but after sampling Gianni's cousin's set, we had to try it out for ourselves. Like I noted before, Gianni is very analytical and quiet. He loves to solve puzzles and enjoys simple montessori toys. We purchased two sets, The Babbler & The Pioneer, I ordered both sets because he enjoyed his cousin's so much. When we received them in the mail, he remembered the carrot shape sorter and literally screamed in excitement. If you know him at all , the vocalizations are very rare and this was very reassuring to me as his Mother. We like to rotate the toys that he plays with, and these are perfect to do that with. Each set has instructions on how to introduce the games and how to teach your toddler how to succeed at the item. We love it, and I must admit, I am truly hooked for future kits.

We absolutely had to snag the "Tonka Steel Classics Toughest Mighty Dump Truck" . He gets so pumped when he sees construction trucks or equipment, I figured this one would certainly bring out some joyous fun.

I've linked a few of the other fun items we have added to his list below that we have not opened yet!

We can't wait to celebrate Christmas with Gianni! He is nearly old enough to experience the "Christmas Magic." He loves to take walks and see all of the decorations in the neighborhood. We have a little tree up in his room & he loves to touch all of the furry animal ornaments that we found at Target! They are so incredibly cute, his favorite is the bear ornament and he does take it around the house with him. We did, however, find quite a few ornaments in his heat vent . LOL But he is surprisingly gentle with them and does like to move them around the tree.

We wish you an incredibly safe & healthy December as you celebrate the beginning of the holiday season!
